To be that type of person....

God knows just when to withhold from us any visible sign of encouragement, and when to grant us such a sign. How good it is that we may trust Him anyway! When all visible evidences that He is remembering us are withheld, that is best; He wants us to realize that His Word, His promise of remembrance, is more substantial and dependable than any evidence of our senses. When He sends the visible evidence, that is well also; we appreciate it all the more after we have trusted Him without it. Those who are readiest to trust God without other evidence than His Word always receive the greatest number of visible evidences of His love. - C. G. Trumbull

Have you ever met a person and they are so at peace? Peace, pretty much, about everything? And the more you learn about that person, you are amazed with what they have gone through in their lives. How much pain they have endured, loved ones they have lossed, catastrophic events and there is such a sense of contentment. You can look at them and see a part of their soul. They are approachable, but not in your face, they are kind. You can see strength, with such a soft side. Usually they are not in the hectic pace of life. They know better. They are usually found somewhere near the back of the line, the back of the room, intentionally. When they speak, it makes sense. Their words are deliberate. It is never about them. They don't mind quiet. They don't mind down time. Confident. This is what a true disciple of Christ looks like. They are completely assured of life, of what it gives and takes, the ups and downs, and yet, their faith does not move a bit. They no longer look for visible evidences of God. They don't need to. That doesn't define their God. He is much more than a "feel good" answer or outcome. He is trusted for who He is. This is a true disciple.
