Cooper and Rexy

Yes, it is a post about our dog, Rexy. Our good 'ol dog, farm dog, boy's dog. He is old and has always had this back problem. He truly should have died about 3 years ago but he rallied and started moving and by everyone's surprise, he made it through! So, we know we are on borrowed time with Rexy. Last week, he was moaning and not moving. Bobby and I have told the kids that it could be anytime. He seems to have his ups and downs. So….we have been deliberately been taking more pics with Rexy. Cooper LOVES Rexy. He has always been Coop's dog.

This dog has been part of the kid's growing up years. Their childhood has had memories of this silly old dog in it. He is naughty, runs down the street, acts like he doesn't know his name but he's our dog and we love him. This post is dedicated to Rexy. Cooper will beam when he reads about his dog on our family blog. I apologize to the rest of you.

our last christmas, little did we know!! we miss you-you are always in our thoughts. We sold his house, it was as if we had to say goodbye again. Nothing but fond memories. Movie night, hide and go seek, fishing, the beach, pool table, weight room, ice cream, bagels, peach diet iced tea, laughing...simply you. Miss you more than you will ever know. It feels as if it was just yesterday, thank God you are "free". "With your final heartbeat, kiss the world goodbye, go in peace and laugh on Glory's side.
