EGGS

Finally……EGGS!!!! Good things come to those who wait. We were told that it would take about 6 months for our chickens to finally lay eggs. Well, we have one, perhaps two, that have started. Here are the beautiful eggs…..

I was surprised by the large yolk! The kids said they were very yummy. I couldn't taste it, at least not yet. It is a little awkward for me. I know, I will have to get over that.

This is one of the chicks (one of the "girls") that we know for sure is laying. The other chicks will wait for her to do her business before they leave the coop. They are very funny. They don't leave each other's sides. Not sure if that is normal or not but I think it's kinda funny and cute. They fight with each other and snuggle each other.

Happy times for the girls. I can't believe they went from little chickies to egg laying mommas!!! Way to go girls!!!!

our last christmas, little did we know!! we miss you-you are always in our thoughts. We sold his house, it was as if we had to say goodbye again. Nothing but fond memories. Movie night, hide and go seek, fishing, the beach, pool table, weight room, ice cream, bagels, peach diet iced tea, laughing...simply you. Miss you more than you will ever know. It feels as if it was just yesterday, thank God you are "free". "With your final heartbeat, kiss the world goodbye, go in peace and laugh on Glory's side.
