PomPom Frenzy!!!!!!

SOOOOO easy! I have always made these in the past with a pompom maker. This dear lady showed me how to make them with my hands and it is so much easier. First, you take the yarn and start it around your hand. You wrap it around your hand 85 times. Then you slide the yarn off of your hand. Take another piece of yarn (separate from the yarn on your hand), about 12" long, and tie it around the middle of your yarn that you wrapped 85 times. Make it nice and taught. Then you take sharp scissors and cut it right down the middle, all the way around. You will have this shaggy puff ball. Now, you give it a haircut. I make mine pretty short. It ends up being this super, cute puff ball. Ava used a whole red yarn bundle yesterday. She loves making these. Oh yeah! Be careful NOT to cut the 12" piece that you tied around the middle of your 85 wraps. This is the yarn that you will use to tie on to something. Ava snipped all these pieces off, not to worry, I will just tie on another piece. Of course, it won't be with red, that is all gone. Great for a kid project. And just in time for Valentine's Day!

our last christmas, little did we know!! we miss you-you are always in our thoughts. We sold his house, it was as if we had to say goodbye again. Nothing but fond memories. Movie night, hide and go seek, fishing, the beach, pool table, weight room, ice cream, bagels, peach diet iced tea, laughing...simply you. Miss you more than you will ever know.
