Charlie in his piano tie. We told him early on that when he plays the piano, especially when there will be older people present, he must wear his tie, his "piano tie". Of course this is a pic before we left for the church. I wish I took a pic of his cowboy boots!
A couple of weeks ago Charlie played in the Grand 'ol Oprey at our church. He played the old hymn, Send the Light. You could not even see him behind the piano on the big stage. He made it through, even though they said to play the song twice. He got up, smiled from ear to ear, took a bow and flew down the stairs to his seat. I was so proud. Ahead of time we told him, if you do this, you have to do it with confidence and with a heart that is ready to bless those who listen. Whether you mess up or not, be ready to bless. We gave him a couple of days to think about it. He said, yes, and the rest is history.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, working for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23
Another opportunity to send the light!
