Merry Christmas!

This is last year's Christmas Eve service at our church. A couple of weeks ago the kids and I assembled 1,500 candles in plastic cups for this year's Christmas Eve service. Usually we have 6 senior citizens working with us, this time we had 2. Part of the fun is talking with each other. Where are you from? Do you have kids? What do you do? all that good stuff. I love that the kids get to hear their stories, shake hands in a good 'ol fashioned way (no pumping or high fives).

Sweet boy, may your light shine in this dark world.

LOVE this service. It is so peaceful, so wonderful. Kids are welcome, lots of kids, sweet music. A time to be thankful and a time to remember the real reason for Christmas.

our last christmas, little did we know!! we miss you-you are always in our thoughts. We sold his house, it was as if we had to say goodbye again. Nothing but fond memories. Movie night, hide and go seek, fishing, the beach, pool table, weight room, ice cream, bagels, peach diet iced tea, laughing...simply you. Miss you more than you will ever know. It feels as if it was just yesterday, thank God you are "free". "With your final heartbeat, kiss the world goodbye, go in peace and laugh on Glory's side. And fly to Jesus, fly to Jesus, fly to Jesus and LIVE....." .
