Bike Transformation

Well, this bike has a long history. This Schwinn bike was found in the garbage about 5 years ago. It was Bobbi Maries. It had pink and purple flowers (from the factory) on it. Ava needed to move up from her little bike and Bobbi just moved up from this bike. So, Ava asked if she could paint it and make it all her own. Great idea, Ava! So, we gave her little acrylic paints and she was super duper happy. Mind you, this bike "drives" better than all the other bikes in our garage that are this size. So, we happened to be in a thrift store a couple months back and Ava spotted this beauty of a bike. Marble pink, big white rims, just gorgeous. We bought that for $30. I look it up online and it is a $400.00 bike! It is an Electra. Now I know these are nice bikes. Her bike "rides" like a dream. Back to this bike….Cooper declares that the pink Schwinn drives better than his Rocket bike. So, we paint it. Of course he knows how to work his sister. He acts like he is going to do it and then seems to need help, so Bobbi, of course, finishes it up. This is his new bike and he is LOVING it! I can guarantee you there is not another like it. His rocket bike wasn't worth saving. That was sold for $8! No, we are not bike dealers but it sorta sounds like we are! Hey, bikes are not cheap! The first bike Bobbi Marie ever got was this little, super little, red bike from Walmart. Every single kid rode it. That will NEVER be sold. I can picture every single little one on that bike and peddling it for the first time. Then taking off the training wheels. Ahh…..sweet bike memories! Anyways, if you have a boy, girl family and need to pass bikes down……the paint works!

our last christmas, little did we know!! we miss you-you are always in our thoughts. We sold his house, it was as if we had to say goodbye again. Nothing but fond memories. Movie night, hide and go seek, fishing, the beach, pool table, weight room, ice cream, bagels, peach diet iced tea, laughing...simply you. Miss you more than you will ever know. It feels as if it was just yesterday, thank God you are "free". "With your final heartbeat, kiss the world goodbye, go in peace and laugh on Glory's side. And fly to Jesus, fly to Jesus, fly to Jesus and LIVE....." .
