wild ride minus the wild

Yesterday we went out on Bobby's boat out on the lake. We thought it would be fun to take this float and pull each other on it in the water. We start the boat up, get going real fast about 2 miles from the dock and our boat stops. It is not starting back up. There is no one anywhere to be found, it's the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. We just sat there for a couple of minutes thinking of what we were going to do. After a little bit Cooper shouts out he sees a jetski. They get a little closer and it's a boat. Our boat is small but this is even smaller, like a jet ski. We waved them over and told them we needed help getting back to the dock. At first they said no. (Oh MY WORD!) but I think the look on our faces encouraged them to change their minds. We used our "wild ride" ropes for the float to be pulled by another boat. Bobbi Marie and I just sat in the back of our boat giggling because we had the float over our heads to block the sun. The wild ride is printed on our float. We just kept saying, "some wild ride!" The men who brought us back were from Laos. Super nice guys and very kind to bring us in. We refer to that day as our adventure. Not a bad day but not what we expected. Didn't someone say having a boat is like a pit you put money in? I think that's true.
