Patience

The mantle is built. Yeah!! Now, we are waiting on "the painter". Matt says the finish paint job makes all the difference. I did prime it and painted the first coat of the chocolate color. I attempted to "cut" in the chocolate to the wall color and it looks terrible. That is when Matt hired a painter to come and finish it for me. He instructed me not to touch it, I had to promise. I will not rush to finish this job. Patience is a virtue. Good things come to those who wait. All that good stuff...Speaking of patience...Our neighbor situation is surfacing again. Hopefully we will see an end to this mess very soon. It triggers huge emotions from Bobby and I whenever we have to deal with it. It has been going on for years. So much has happened during this time that when you have to think about "the event" you can't help but think of everything else that has gone on in our lives. It is hard not to dwell on this experience when we are living in it and next to it. Know what I mean? That is the hard part. We don't talk about it, it's too awkward yet is so much of our lives. And so much has happened in the past 2 years. Life changing experiences. Unhappy times, to say the least. So, we anticipate the end to this situation to help close a very unhappy chapter in our lives. We struggle with why it bothers us like it does, it could be worse. This has affected us. This has rocked our marriage, parenting, frienships. However, with that being said, we are thankful for this very mess we want to end. A friend of ours who has faithfully prayed for us and this situation, just gave us part of her prayer journal. She is amazing and God has used her to speak to us more than she will ever know, it's usually exactly the time when Satan starts the true doubting in our hearts and minds. It has become more than "the event", it has brought on self-doubt, insecurities. This has been a true process of wrestling with the Spirit. Relying on and thinking only on what "is true, honest, just, pure". As we sorta see the light at the end of the tunnel, our prayer is we finish strong and prepare us for the unknown. Give us patience we pray Oh Lord. "Thank you for desiring intimacy with us and for using adversity to get it. We praise your High and Holy name and Trust you completely." Thanks dear friend for your prayers....
