Cooper, making some money $$$$, I am sorry but kids need to work around the house. As they get older it should be more than just
putting their laundry away. This work requires some sweat!
He does not have sunglasses, so he is wearing mine, which I thinks looks hysterical. He didn't care a lick.
A little full of himself because he knew I was taking pics of him. Well, this is the way it goes. Bobbi Marie has been able to make some money lately from babysitting and
dogsitting. Cooper has been thinking of everything that he could do to make some extra bucks. Bobby was saying that when he was Cooper's age he mowed lawns for neighbors. Like $10! In our neck of the woods, EVERYONE has a lawn service! Just about everyone. You rarely see 10 year
olds mowing lawns. So, Cooper shouts out he wants a lawn business. We are his first job. He has been doing it for awhile. Rules: he has to wear shoes, and sunglasses (when things get kicked up). Mind you, we have a pretty good size lawn. He gets 10 bucks (which is way more than washing the car). He is thrilled. Not sure if the neighbors think it is abuse or it is a positive thing?? Oh well. No, he does not edge or do the blower. Yes, it is not always perfect, BUT what he is learning goes way beyond that. It is a job that makes money on a consistent basis, it's hard work and it is rewarding! It gives his Daddy some extra time with the family (he doesn't have to mow the lawn), it saves us money on spending on a lawn service ($75??). It is all good. He is a little funny with his new paid position. He will say, "I think the lawn is ready to be mowed." He usually waits to the heat of the day, then heads outside. His lawn patterns are quite unique and Bobby looks forward to seeing them when he comes home from work. Good for you, Cooper. The lawn has never looked better :)
