Update

Once again, our temporary baby is gone.   For the last month we not only had this cute, big baby but we also had her sisters.  Our hands were very full.   They have transitioned and we are left with an empty crib and two empty toddler beds.  Such mixed emotions.  We are taking a much needed break from "the system".   Meanwhile, we just met with the last two precious girls we originally had this past weekend. What a blessing that was!  By no means did we think they would remember us at all.  It has been 3 months, but the toddler caught on real quick.  She hugged our necks, she even called my husband Daddy.  We spent a wonderful afternoon not just playing with the girls but encouraging their grandma. Oh, what a beautiful day and God knew our hearts needed a little pick me up.  Cooper left saying it was one of his favorite days ever.  It was a special time to talk about how that afternoon was the real meaning of Christmas.  Giving, not receiving.  I think the kids really got it.  The joy in true love and the joy in reaching out and not for one second thinking of their own needs.  It was a good day.  Yes, it made our hearts miss those girls, again, but you have to learn to trust God.    We put them in their little car seats, hugged their necks, kissed their cheeks, and said goodbye, again.  Our prayer is that grandma will keep us close.  Allowing us to love on these girls and share Christ with them.  That is our prayer……God is so good.   You could feel HIS presence.  It was awesome.
So, no new babies, yet.  Maybe before Christmas, maybe not?  We already said no to one.  We have learned very quickly what works for our family and what our boundaries are.  These babies are all so precious and so easy to love.  We are truly blessed.
